Blue2 and Hot Chocolate Trust

Blue2 has teamed up with Hot Chocolate Trust, a youth work organisation based in the city centre of Dundee that helps youth build bright futures.  

Dave Close, Executive Director of Hot Chocolate Trust, reached out to Blue2 to liaison with Hot Chocolate’s youth representative, Blair to develop a proof of concept “Version 2” of their support database. The database is used to monitor individual support and how it positively contributes to personal growth and development in society. This new version will see the database become a real-time cloud-based application, allowing Hot Chocolate to create a modern, future-proof system for their platform.

Hot Chocolate is one of Blue2 and Avian’s key charity partners and a major recipient of the company’s CSR and charity fundraising efforts. In 2015, Scott McCallum, Avian’s Managing Director was involved in the Round The World Clipper Yacht Race and raised in excess of £8,000 for the charity. Since then, Hot Chocolate has benefitted from an Annual Charity Golf Day that Avian and Blue2 organise. Scott’s wife – Ali McCallum is one of the organisers of the 2018 Snow Ball in January at Dundee’s Apex Hotel where Hot Chocolate are one of the main beneficiaries.
