Award Announcement

Blue2 Digital’s expertise recognised in “E-commerce Award” win

We are thrilled to have been awarded the ‘E-commerce Award’ at the prestigious Herald Scottish Digital Business Awards held last night in Glasgow.

The 11th Scottish Digital Business Awards took place at the Radisson Blu Hotel last night with Scotland’s best digital agencies present to contest the thirteen awards. The awards, in association with DigitalBoost, recognise digital businesses that excel in transformational work on behalf of their clients. We won the award for our work with – Simon Howie, The Scottish Butcher.

With annual supermarket sales of nearly £16 million, Simon Howie is one of the UK’s top 10 food brands. Although the company has a nationwide footprint, it is their butcher shops in Scotland that are the origins and the cornerstone of the business, reflecting brand provenance whilst supporting local jobs and communities. Blue2 designed and built a click-and-collect service and in-store order management and fulfilment system that has been embraced by the chain of butchery outlets, generating a huge uplift in monthly sales, greatly increasing the average customer order value and tapping into a completely new customer base that is now buying from their local butcher shop.

We launched the client’s new website in May and have recently launched a Christmas online-ordering facility.

Nial Chapman, Digital Director said:

“It is fantastic to have our hard work recognised by the judging panel, especially since the competition in this category was so fierce.  The marketing team at Simon Howie work incredibly hard to keep the company at the forefront of the industry and it is an absolute pleasure to work with them to create online systems that are truly transformative for the business.”
