Flour Power Judges

Nichola Reith

Nichola Reith is one-third of the talented trio, Three Sisters Bake. The Scottish Sisters own and run two, self-titled, Glasgow cafes specialising in homemade treats, along with producing a homegrown cookbook featuring mouthwatering recipes for everyday meals.

The idea of Three Sisters Bake was many years in the making with Nichola, Gillian and Linsey all starting off in office-based roles, eventually following their dreams and taking on the challenge of the hospitality industry. Nichola, in particular, became a trained pastry chef and launched her own wedding cake business. This eventually evolved into what we now know as Three Sisters Bake, keeping the wedding cake service as part of the brand.

Our bakers feel extremely lucky to have someone as talented as Nichola judge/try their creations and wish all the other Flour Power bakers from across Scotland the best of luck!

Alan Clark

Alan Clark is the owner of Dundee renowned Clark’s 24-hour Bakery. He is the second generation of his family to own Clark’s Bakery after his father started the brand back in 1950 when Alan started helping him out at just 10 years old. Since then the business has grown from strength to strength, successfully opening 3 new stores and having a staff base of 70 in the past 2 years.

50 years ago, 100% of what was produced on the premises was fresh baked goods but with times and the surrounding area changing the freshly baked goods are now mixed in with a selection of filled sandwiches and hot fast food (to please the surrounding student population!)

Clarks (Clarkies) has always been a business that has put its employees and customers first and is celebrated by the people of Dundee. We wish Alan and the whole team all the best for the future expansion of the business.
